Each of these reports can also be orientated
by cost, using vehicle running costs supplied by you. This will give
you the cost of lost time and will also indicate the value of the savings
made over time.
Each of these reports may
provide information to be included on your customer invoices to ensure
they are aware of the quality of service which you provide to them.
Any of the specified reports can be useful in business planning and
can be reformatted for these purposes on request. Possible scenarios
when this may be useful include;
- Customer review meetings
- Information on current operations to facilitate quoting on a new,
but comparable contract
- Assess vehicle productivity
- By driver (where a driver is always allocated to the same truck)
- By work type
- By make / model of vehicle
- To give feedback to RTA, other operators or companies on your operating
challenges

| Customer turnaround |
Time spent within or in the vicinity of a customer or supplier's
premises. Can be used to understand when delays are occurring
or for the basis for a review meeting with a customer who is not
performing as expected. |
| Number of deliveries
to a customer |
Shows the number of times each vehicle, or the fleet, has visited
a customer. Can be used to calculate percentage of delayed visits
(in conjunction with above report). |
| Distance travelled |
Shows distance calculated from GPS, by vehicle, to be used
as a business indicator or a check figure to identify fast or
slow running hubdometres. |
