Creation of Truck Movement Reporting

The situation: Our client required visibility of truck movements to aid road network planning and had had problems obtaining data which was relevant to their needs.

Our contribution: We entered into confidentiality agreements with Transport Operators and then downloaded their GPS data over a six month historical period. After a data cleansing process, we analysed and formatted the results and passed the finished (streamlined) data to the client.

Key success: Our independent status enabled us to advise our client how GPS could and couldn’t contribute to the project. Our industry experience and contacts meant that we were able to encourage operators to get involved by allowing us confidential access to their data which we then translated into a valuable report to enable the client to progress their project.
